The Christ Hospital Cardiovascular Associates seeks a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient experience while maintaining patient comfort and a safe patient environment.

Under the supervision of and delegation by the Registered Nurse, you will perform aspects of clinical care as assigned and instructed by the RN per Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines for delegation. You will meet clinical platform of skills guided by the PCA Core Skills Competency Checklist and maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care information confidential.

You will demonstrate top behavioral competencies established by Nursing Leadership for our Patient Care Assistants, effectively communicating, seeking to service customers, resilient and adaptable to change, seeking to collaborate and work with a team to solve problems, and accountable for one's own actions, communications, and development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing and promoting individual patient and unit safety
  • Providing comfort and personal hygiene for patients, documenting according to policy
  • Orienting patient & family to the hospital environment & services provided, facilitating communication throughout the entire hospitalization process

Qualifications include:

  • High School Graduate/Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certification in AHA Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers before patient contact
