Job Summary:

VCU Health is currently seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to join our team in downtown Richmond. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our endoscopy department.

Job Description:

The Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This includes preparing equipment, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting during procedures as needed. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient flow and excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for endoscopic procedures
  • Assist with patient preparation and positioning
  • Monitor and report any concerns or issues during procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:

  • AHA BLS Certification
  • One year of acute care experience in a patient care related position
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Three years of work experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting (preferred)
