The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Specialist to join the team at VCU Health.

As a Critical Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality anesthetic and critical care services to patients in the main OR and ambulatory areas, while also supervising and directing Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) as needed.

We are looking for a candidate with strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced environment. You must be board certified/eligible in Anesthesiology and/or Critical Care Certification, have a MD or DO degree, and be eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, conducting preanesthetic evaluations, intraoperative anesthesia care, postoperative rounds, resuscitation, and intensive care. You will also direct the activities of CRNAs, participate in didactic teaching programs, and pursue clinical or laboratory research.

Salary: $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience.
