Job Summary
As a Surgical Technologist at Blount Memorial Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department. Under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel, you will assist in preparing patients for surgery, setting up the operating room, and maintaining aseptic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including transporting them to the operating room and positioning them for the procedure.
  • Help set up the operating room, including arranging equipment and supplies.
  • Pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons during the procedure.
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic conditions throughout the procedure.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment.

Requirements:
  • Certification in Surgical Technology required and must be maintained.
  • 1 year post-educational experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of aseptic surgical technique and handling of surgical instruments and specimens.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
