Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Summary
As a Cardiovascular Technologist at Blount Memorial Hospital, you will perform invasive special procedures and heart catheterizations at a technical level, requiring independent judgment and initiative. This role involves working with patients and staff in a courteous and professional manner, demonstrating excellent communication and listening skills. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction and meeting or exceeding expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Education and Experience

Required:
Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) and current CPR and ACLS certifications. Previous experience as an EMT, Surgical Scrub Tech, or similar role is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills
Extensive knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-direction in improving and acquiring skills and abilities.

Abilities and Qualifications
Expected to have excellent manners and represent the hospital in a positive manner, ensuring patients feel well cared for and would return in the future. Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette and strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet or exceed patient satisfaction at all times.
