Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Representative B to join our Economic Development Department's Public Information Office team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns to promote our diverse programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive marketing and communications plans to promote our programs and services.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to enhance program visibility and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Manage and plan projects/accounts, conduct presentations, tours, and public education programs, and evaluate the effectiveness of our programs.
  • Work with outside vendors to develop contracts, surveys, documentation, and forms.
  • Maintain Web content and develop digital advertising, promotional campaigns, and strategies.
  • Write, edit, and follow up on news releases, coordinate, write, and edit internal and external information/data, and develop and generate reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field, plus four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience may substitute for education up to the maximum of four (4) years.
  • Knowledge of market strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods.
  • Knowledge of fiscal planning and budget preparation.
  • Skill in oral and written communication, handling multiple tasks and prioritizing, using computers and related software, planning and organizing, data analysis and problem solving, and ability to write and conduct research.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience writing content for diverse communications such as news releases, external newsletters, and social media.
  • Experience with content management platforms, preferably with experience managing websites built in Drupal or similar platforms.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Ability to travel to multiple work sites.
