Role Summary:

The Pay Station Clerk is responsible for delivering prompt and courteous service to customers while ensuring smooth operations at the cash register. This role involves assisting customers, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to all customers, demonstrating care and patience in every interaction.
  • Greet customers warmly and make an effort to learn their names for a personalized experience.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and suggestions to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Accurately operate the cash register, process payments, and manage cash drawer levels.
  • Ensure that all necessary supplies, such as silverware and condiments, are readily available for customer use.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping environment for customers.
Additional Duties:
  • Assist with clearing tables in dining areas as needed.
  • Support other departments in the store as required.
  • Participate in special projects and other job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

While there are no formal education requirements, candidates should possess basic arithmetic skills and the ability to follow instructions.

Physical Demands:
  • The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various physical activities, including standing, walking, and reaching.
  • Visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as operating equipment and managing transactions.
Work Environment:

This position may involve exposure to temperature variations and cleaning chemicals. The work pace is typically fast, requiring adaptability and efficiency.

Equipment Utilized:

Cash registers, pallet jacks, and other tools necessary for daily operations.
