About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resource Engineer to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our water market clients, you will lead water quality studies, master plans, condition assessments, and more.

As a Water Resource Engineer, you will develop basis of designs, deliver detailed designs, and assist through engineering services during construction and treatment commissioning activities. You will work with industry-recognized mentors as you grow your career into leadership and mentoring yourself.

We look forward to supporting your active involvement with WEF and/or AWWA. You will interact directly with our team leadership, the owner, and contractors throughout various phases of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead water quality studies, master plans, condition assessments, and other projects
  • Develop basis of designs and deliver detailed designs
  • Assist through engineering services during construction and treatment commissioning activities
  • Work with industry-recognized mentors to grow your career
  • Interact with team leadership, owners, and contractors throughout project delivery
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental, chemical, or civil engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Ohio, with the ability to obtain reciprocity in other States
  • Demonstrated understanding of wastewater, drinking water, and/or industrial water unit processes, water quality studies, regulations, permitting, advanced treatment technologies, master planning, and condition assessments
  • Willingness to learn Jacobs' proprietary tools
  • Strong water quality analyses background
  • Experience providing and receiving Quality Assurance and Quality Control reviews
  • Self-motivated, initiator; demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering
  • Research-based background
  • Experience mentoring and coaching other engineers
  • Experience providing facility start-up assistance
  • Proof of United States citizenship
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with clients and to win work
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
