Job Summary

The Lake Erie College Of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Faculty member to join our team in the School of Podiatric Medicine. As a Clinical Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the podiatric clinical skills courses, as well as providing lecture presentations to first and second-year podiatric medical students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Serve as an instructor and trainer in the Podiatry curriculum, assisting in Simulation Lab supervision, and teaching in the History and Physical courses.
  • Student Support: Interview prospective student candidates for the School of Podiatric Medicine, serve as advisor to assigned students, and participate in student outcomes initiatives.
  • Research and Scholarship: Participate in research and scholarly activity, preparing educational tools and materials, and contributing to the advancement of the profession.
  • Community Engagement: Contribute to the Mission of LECOM, embodying the essence of Podiatric Medicine, and participating in community outreach and fundraising initiatives.
  • Administrative Responsibilities: Attend meetings, contribute to committee work, and participate in Institutional fundraising efforts.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: D.P.M. degree required, board certification in an area of study, and licensure or eligibility for a current license to practice podiatric medicine.
  • Teaching Experience: Two to five years of clinical practice experience and teaching experience in academia preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work cooperatively with others, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to LECOM's code of ethics.
