Job Summary

An accomplished Physiology Basic Science Faculty member is sought to join our esteemed institution, The Lake Erie College Of Osteopathic Medicine. As a key member of our academic team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in Physiology to our graduate and professional students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging lectures, demonstrations, and small group discussions on Physiology-related topics.
  • Design and implement assessment tools to evaluate student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in curriculum development and revision to ensure alignment with institutional goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, such as research and publication, to contribute to the field of Physiology.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students, promoting their academic and professional growth.
  • Participate in faculty development opportunities to enhance teaching and learning skills.
Requirements
  • Doctorate-level degree in Physiology (Ph.D.) is required.
  • Teaching experience in academia, with a minimum of 2-5 years of Physiology basic science experience, is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students is necessary.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current in the field of Physiology is expected.
