Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens for analysis, performing EKGs, and conducting waived and moderately complex testing with supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood specimens from patients using venous and capillary collection methods.
  • Perform EKGs, waived and moderately complex testing with supervision.
  • Conduct pre-employment drugs of abuse screens.
  • Monitor incomplete work lists on the Laboratory Information System (LIS) throughout the shift.
  • Perform assays for ABG's and COOX samples with appropriate supervision.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved training program in Phlebotomy.
  • Registered as a Phlebotomist through ASCP or ASPT.

Work Environment:

This is a part-time position with a standard schedule of 20 hours per week. The work assignment type is onsite, and the work schedule is evening job. The location of the job is at NASH HC.
