Fire Inspector Job Summary

Bay Alarm is seeking a skilled Fire Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing fire alarm systems to ensure they function effectively and meet NFPA standards. You will also adjust or repair malfunctioning systems and perform basic sprinkler inspection services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule fire alarm system inspections and run tests to ensure systems are functioning properly
  • Inspect system response and coordinate with the fire department to avoid responses to tests
  • Repair or replace systems as needed and inform the Service Department of customer needs
  • Advise customers of test results and train new fire inspectors
  • Perform sprinkler inspection services as required by California Code Regulations, Title 19
Requirements:
  • No experience required, but 1-2 years of experience is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, and 1-2 years of post-high school education is preferred
  • English language skills are required, and computer skills are not necessary
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required
  • The final applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment screening process
