PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct designated cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure the overall hygiene and sanitation of the premises.
  • Sanitize rooms, furnishings, fixtures, equipment, and supplies, utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants.
  • Execute additional housekeeping tasks, including rearranging furniture, flipping mattresses, cleaning kitchens, utensils, and silverware, as well as sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors as required.
  • Wash and care for soiled linens as instructed.
  • Ensure an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies for departmental or unit use.
  • Thoroughly clean and properly store all equipment and supplies following each shift.
  • Set up rooms for meetings and organize decorations and furniture for facility events.
  • Responsible for replenishing supplies as necessary.
  • Adhere to all infection control protocols.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping within a commercial, clinical, or healthcare setting is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Valid state driver's license may be required based on facility needs.
  • CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification are mandatory (training provided upon hire).
  • First aid certification may be necessary depending on state or facility regulations.
