Job Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Storage and Peaking Ops facilities. The Maintenance Specialist will inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, as well as assist Plant Operators and Technicians in maintaining facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain all equipment at Storage and Peaking Ops facilities, including pipeline maintenance and responding to One Call locates.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of assigned facilities and systems, and schedule and perform various repairs to equipment as needed.
  • Assist Plant Operators and Technicians in maintaining facility operations, and fill in as Plant Operator when needed, following the facility shift schedule.
  • Record equipment and facility operations, and prepare required reports completely and accurately.
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures, as well as applicable State and Federal regulations.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Valid state driver's license
  • General mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to pass DOT Operator Qualification requirements for specific covered tasks
  • Proficient understanding and use of the English language
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in technical, process, or plant operator specialties
  • Gas operations and/or process experience, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases or liquids, and high-pressure systems
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

The incumbent works in a plant and field environment, in all types of weather conditions. May be required to work shift schedules that may vary according to facility operational requirements. Lift and carry medium to heavy weight items. Reach overhead for items, stoop, bend, and twist while working. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds of force frequently.
