Job Description:As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our lumber company. This includes managing inventory, logistics, scheduling, and customer service. You will also supervise and mentor staff across departments, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations Oversight: Manage all aspects of day-to-day operations, including inventory management, logistics, scheduling, and customer service.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor staff across departments, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Inventory Control: Ensure accurate inventory tracking, procurement, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Budget Management: Oversee operational budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Customer Relations: Work closely with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the lumber or building materials industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and supply chain processes.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in an industrial setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with industry-specific software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lumber grades, species, and construction materials.
