Job Summary

Synaptics is seeking a seasoned Technical Marketing Manager to drive product definition, strategy, and business development for our Automotive and Display business unit. As a key member of the team, you will promote existing products to customers and partners, drive strategic product planning, and partner closely with engineering teams to shape our product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research new technologies and identify opportunities in adjacent markets to drive innovation and growth
  • Conduct competitive research to better understand our market segments and implement strategies for differentiation
  • Define new differentiating products for the automotive market and create the go-to-market strategy
  • Enable the Sales team by being the expert on our products and develop compelling, effective collateral to ensure Sales team success
  • Partner with engineering teams to shape the product roadmap and implement tight feedback cycles between customers and the product team
  • Clearly communicate company's vision and unique product benefits to a varied set of audiences including internal teams, industry analysts, and customers
  • Define and negotiate strategic partnerships with key technology partners who can drive rapid growth and accelerate product momentum
Requirements
  • Possess thorough knowledge of semiconductor marketing principles, brand, product, and service management, sales, and business development along with a demonstrated track record of success and performance
  • Able to move seamlessly between proactive ideation and efficient, high-quality execution
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical mindset and effectively use qualitative and quantitative data to make clear decisions that move the business forward
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on business plan execution
  • Establishes clear expectations and brings multiple parties together to drive key initiatives
  • High integrity, reliable, very responsive, has an inherent sense of urgency and accountability
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's (or advanced) degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science or related field, or equivalent; MBA a plus
  • 12 years industry experience with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in product/technical marketing, with a background in some of the following markets: automotive, semiconductor, high-speed connectivity, touch, and display
  • Past experience in directly working with automotive customers and ecosystem partners
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various automotive electronics such as infotainment systems, battery management, connectivity, etc.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range: $147,000 - $231,000 per year
  • Discretionary annual performance bonus, equity, and other benefits
  • 20% travel, both domestic and international
