About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a member of our medical surgical-orthopedic team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the well-being of our patients and their families.

Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, competent, and compassionate care to patients with complex medical and orthopedic needs. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans of care, prioritize tasks, and manage assignments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, ensuring timely documentation and communication with healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and promote seamless transitions.
  • Foster a culture of safety, respect, and compassion, promoting open communication and addressing concerns promptly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) with current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York State.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in medical-surgical or orthopedic nursing, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
