About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Home Paraprofessional to join our team at Therapeutic Alternatives. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality services to individuals with disabilities or mental illness.

Key Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Providing personalized support to individuals in a group home setting, promoting independence and empowering them to reach their goals.
  2. Assisting with daily living activities, transportation, and outings in the community.
  3. Documenting service provision in progress notes, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  4. Participating in mandatory staff meetings and consumer conferences.
  5. Receiving supervision from a Qualified Professional and adhering to licensure or certification requirements.
  6. Reporting changes in consumer condition, family situation, or needs to the Supervisor.
  7. Reporting allegations of consumer abuse, neglect, or exploitation to the Supervisor.
  8. Performing other duties as required by circumstances.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • To be at least 25 years old.
  • To have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • To be able to read, write, understand, and follow directions.
  • To have no substantiated findings on the NC Health Care Abuse Registry.
  • To meet SBI and DMV requirements of LME/MCO contracts.
  • To have a valid driver's license.
  • To have 3 Full years of driving experience.
  • To have an acceptable level of automobile liability insurance.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
  • To be willing to complete all required trainings as assigned.
  • To have access to a device with internet connection at the time services are rendered.
