Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require the application of non-ionizing, high frequency ultrasonic waves for diagnosis of disease.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for examination and explain procedures in layman terms to relieve anxiety.
- Position patients on examination tables for optimum testing procedures and conditions.
- Set up equipment to administer procedures in a timely fashion.
- Perform ultrasound procedures and recognize significance of all structures visualized on the oscilloscope.
- Collect pertinent data and calculations for physician interpretation.
- Ensure accuracy of all patient data and process imaging as required.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within one year of employment.
- Previous ultrasound technologist experience preferred.
