Position Overview:

As a Sales Associate (Part-Time) at Knitwell Group, you will play a critical role in driving revenue and providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for building relationships with clients, sharing style and product information, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment. Your goal will be to consistently meet or exceed individual and store financial goals, while contributing to the overall success of the store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager, Co-Manager, and Sales Leads
Revenue Generation:
  • Meet or exceed divisional, store, and individual financial and credit goals
Client Experience:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by anticipating client needs and exceeding expectations
  • Build relationships with clients and create client loyalty
  • Address client concerns and come to resolution when possible
  • Portray a gracious, friendly, energetic, and engaging manner at all times
  • Take ownership of your work and solicit feedback for professional growth and development
  • Communicate effectively with store management, store team, and external clients
  • Build collaborative and productive relationships by sharing ideas and treating others with respect and fairness
  • Embody our values and behaviors and inspire team members by leading by example
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies, practices, and procedures, as well as all federal, state, and local laws
Operations:
  • Complete opening and closing procedures and tasks with a focus on client satisfaction
  • Meet merchandise processing standards and maintain an organized and accessible work area
  • Adhere to Loss Prevention practices and report potential incidents to ensure shortage control and protect company assets
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report any potential hazards to store management
  • Participate in the preparation for the store's inventory
  • Report to work as scheduled and record time worked accurately using the Time and Attendance system
  • Follow all Knitwell Group operational guidelines, processes, and procedures
  • Review Bulletin Boards daily
Technical Expertise:
  • Demonstrate a desire and ability to be learner-responsible and navigate the Knitwell Group computer learning systems
  • Perform register transactions quickly and efficiently
  • Be proficient in using Distributed Order Maintenance (DOM's) and StyleFinder to locate product for clients and process transactions accurately
  • Operate the phone and answer calls with an appropriate greeting, transferring and placing calls on hold
  • Operate and understand the functions of the Point of Sale (POS) system
Product/Brand Management:
  • Understand and articulate the Company's brand positioning, including the uniqueness of all expressions of Knitwell Group, current marketing and promotional initiatives, markdowns, POS events, Bounce Back promotions, coupon events, lifestyle concepts to internal and external clients
  • Live the Knitwell Group Purpose, Values, and Behaviors in all interactions
  • Participate in and attend Store Meetings
  • Proactively use associate education tools to build product and styling knowledge with peers
  • Embrace fashion and understand current market trends, articulating them using Knitwell Group interpretations in every client interaction
  • Packages and wraps client purchases according to Knitwell Group standards
Requirements:
  • Client Service: Ability to function as a role model, ensuring the client remains the top priority
  • Follow Directions: Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines as assigned with minimal supervision and within designated timeframes
  • Merchandising: Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement and maintain with Knitwell Group guidelines
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with Clients, Members of Management, Business Partners, and Store Associates
  • Accuracy: Ability to handle cash and provide change without error
  • Schedule: Remain flexible in scheduling that meets the needs of the business
  • Physical: Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally, maneuver effectively around the sales floor and stock room
Educational Requirements and Experience:
  • Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year sales associate or relevant experience in the services industry with proven results
