Job Summary

The Master Electrician is a key member of the Meriter-UnityPoint Health team, responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical systems throughout the organization. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, as well as strong communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Work with architects and engineers to develop and implement electrical distribution systems.
  • Manage electrical permits and ensure that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with city electrical inspectors to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Perform safety testing and power studies to ensure the integrity of the electrical system.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus relevant college or vocational education.
  • At least 6 years of practical experience in electrical work.
  • Current knowledge of all codes and electronic training.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and equipment wiring diagrams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
