Job Summary

The Master Electrician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical systems at Meriter-UnityPoint Health. This includes overseeing the installation and maintenance of the entire power distribution system throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Oversee the work performed by electrical contractors and internal electrical teams
  • Work with City Electrical Inspectors on inspections and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with Architects and Engineers on project development and electrical distribution system improvements
  • Manage electrical permits and perform safety testing and power studies
  • Advise management on corrective plans for major power failures
Requirements
  • High school diploma plus necessary college or vocational education for State of Wisconsin certification as master electrician
  • At least 6 years of practical experience in electrical work
  • Current knowledge of all codes and electronic training
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and equipment wiring diagrams
  • Strong teamwork and decision-making skills
