Job Description

Job Summary:

The Operations Coordinator will provide leadership, supervision, and development of student building managers, information desk, policy and safety training and enforcement, and assisting the Associate Director of Operations in facility planning, project oversight, and vendor and tenant relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative - 40%
    • Recruit, hire, train, supervise and schedule the student Building Manager team responsible for customer service, information desk concierge services, facility and operational support, and policy enforcement of all spaces managed by the LBJ Student Center
    • Lead regular meetings, conduct training, and develop and maintain training manuals and resources
    • Ensure information desk materials and service model are current and relevant to best serve the campus community
    • Develop, track, and report facility and operations statistics
  • Building Operations - 40%
    • Assist the Associate Director, Operations in coordinating facility-related logistics and services that effectively support tenant, customer, and university needs
    • Conduct regular on-site facility inspections of building integrity, cleanliness, defacement, and potential safety concerns for all spaces managed by the LBJ Student Center
    • Serve as a vital member of the Operations team and work with staff, tenants, and users to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service
    • Provides support as needed for day-to-day building maintenance, custodial, events, and customer service operations
  • Risk Management - 20%
    • Serve as a risk management coordinator for the LBJ Student Center with the Associate Director, Operations
    • Develop and update emergency response plans, conduct staff and tenant training exercises, ensure facilities are safe for all participants
    • Interpret and enforce LBJ Student Center and University policies, guidelines, and other relevant regulations, including use of facilities, ADA compliance, security requirements, and environmental health and safety standards
    • Serve as initial responder to evening and weekend building emergencies

Additional Information:

The work schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday, 12pm-9pm (1 hour lunch)
