Job Summary

Koniag Government Services is seeking a highly skilled Splunk Architect and Administrator to support our government customer in Washington, DC or Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud platforms, with experience in designing and deploying scalable Splunk solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage Splunk architecture, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Splunk Enterprise instances across various environments.
  • Develop and customize Splunk apps and dashboards to meet specific organizational needs, integrating data feeds and creating visualizations for actionable insights.
  • Ensure scalability and performance of Splunk infrastructure, optimizing for high availability and reliability.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Splunk environments, including license management, indexers, search heads, and data ingestion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize Splunk tools and features.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Splunk Architect or Administrator, with a strong understanding of Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud platforms.
  • Expertise in designing and deploying scalable Splunk solutions, including indexer and search head clustering.
  • Strong knowledge of Splunk Deployment Methodology and best practices for data collection and sizing distributed deployments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for managing Splunk environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Working Environment and Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
