About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Splunk Engineer to join our team at OneZero Solutions, LLC. As a key member of our Cybersecurity Engineering team, you will be responsible for providing engineering and administration support for a large distributed clustered Splunk environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall engineering and administration support for the Splunk environment, including search heads, indexers, deployers, deployment servers, heavy/universal forwarders, and Splunk Enterprise Security premium app.
  • Recognize and onboard new data sources into Splunk, analyze data for anomalies and trends, and build dashboards highlighting key trends.
  • Work with other Cybersecurity Engineering team members and interact with end users to gather requirements, perform troubleshooting, and provide assistance with Splunk search queries and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with senior management as needed.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Cloud Services such as AWS, Azure, and Office365.
  • Script in one or more computer languages, including Python, Bash, Visual Basic, or PowerShell.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree coupled with 7+ years' experience in the Information Technology arena.
  • 4+ years of experience in a senior Splunk role working in a Splunk clustered environment supporting SOC or NOC environments.
  • 3+ years of experience in Linux and SQL/ODBC interfaces.
  • 2+ years of experience in app interface development using REST APIs.
  • Previous project management experience.
  • ITIL Change & Configuration Management.
  • Experience with Ansible and GIT.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SQL.
  • Experience in other systems and network management products.
  • Current or former completed Splunk training.
  • Prior experience in a Splunk professional services role.
  • Automation/orchestration of Splunk in a Cloud environment.
