Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain assigned accounts to customer cleaning specifications, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Train janitorial staff in proper cleaning techniques and safe practices, promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
  • Collaborate with Branch Manager and District Manager to ensure proper safety and HR training has been provided for all employees.
  • Assist in ordering cleaning and/or paper supplies for each account, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions.
  • Respond to customer issues as necessary or as directed by Branch Manager and District Manager, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Submit employee timecards/LMS records to ensure proper wage payment to employees, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Submit employee complete time off request forms to ensure proper benefit payment to employees, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing replacement plans for lead leadership positions, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Lead a team of cleaners engaged in performing custodial work, providing clear direction, training, and assistance to employees, and coordinating daily work activities, including periodic schedules, organizing, prioritizing, and assigning work, monitoring status, inspecting completed work, and troubleshooting problem situations.
Job Expectations
  • Maintain each account with budgeted labor each month to control costs, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Meet with building managers and tenants on a daily basis to take requests, work orders, special jobs, and answer questions, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Perform quality control inspections of each account, including Safety and HR reporting, plus LMS reporting, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to district/branch financial performance by aggressively seeking tag, sale opportunities, and reporting them to District Manager and Branch Manager, driving revenue growth and profitability.
  • Provide an environment that allows subordinates to grow and develop skills for future advancement, promoting a culture of learning and development.
Leadership Expectations
  • Lead by example, adhering to branch, corporate, division, and region policies, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and integrity.
  • Provide support and leadership in special projects/initiatives as directed by the District or Branch Manager, driving business growth and innovation.
  • Where applicable, maintain working relationships with labor unions, fostering positive and productive partnerships.
  • Review the scope of work and maintain the periodic schedule for each account, including all tag work, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Complete and return all paperwork to the District Manager daily, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Report to building management all building needs, such as late-night requests and repairs needed, ensuring prompt and effective responses.
  • Create proposals and quotes for special jobs requested by tenants, including getting their approvals in writing, driving revenue growth and profitability.
  • Schedule all projects, periodic, and special work utilizing Excel spreadsheets created for each BU# and validate all control quality points, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Schedule vacation and holidays for all employees and assure replacements are screened and trained, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Inspect all cleaning operations, ensuring quality levels are being met, and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Participate in all aspects of new employee orientation, including site training, safety, facility rules, procedures, new cleaning techniques, and equipment usage, service, and chemical use, promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
  • Manage all faces of the work order process, ensuring prompt and effective responses.
  • Closely work with all building departments, fostering positive and productive partnerships.
  • Coordinate shift operations to ensure coverage and completion, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Order supplies, chemicals, equipment, parts, and uniforms for all employees, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions.
  • Respond to all emergency requests, emails, and phone calls, providing prompt and effective solutions.
