Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Nurse Consultant to join our team.

The Peri-Operative Nurse Consultant is accountable to the Nursing Director for coordinating and integrating educational, consultative, evidence-based practice, and research functions into ongoing nursing practice.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Improves clinical practice through implementation of AORN standards, evidence-based practice, systems assessment, and consultation.
  • Provides leadership in strategic planning to achieve departmental and clinical specialty goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates with Operating Room Nurse Managers and healthcare team to ensure regulatory compliance standards are met.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum three (3) years clinical experience within the last 7 years.
  • Minimum two (2) years leadership/education/management experience.
Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of current related regulations/standards of practice.
  • Customer-focused service skills.
  • Group process skills.
  • Project management experience.

  • Travel between regional ASCs.
