Autism Support Specialist

Pathlight Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Autism Coach to join our team. As a Direct Support Autism Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with Autism in their daily life, promoting their dignity, safety, health, welfare, rights, development, and social inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and support the individual in social/recreational and skill-building activities, modeling appropriate behavior and assisting in the development of independence skills.
- Collaborate with the supervisor and other service team members to discuss goals, implementation, and other related questions, concerns, or problems.
- Apply Pathlight Group and program policies and procedures, particularly in the areas of crisis, emergency, health and safety, individual rights, and preventing and reporting abuse.
- Complete related records as required and instructed by contract or supervisor, ensuring confidentiality and safe-keeping of documents.
- Accompany the individual to recreational activities and other planned events, providing transportation as needed, and maintaining professional boundaries.
- Submit weekly time sheets with summaries of activities in a timely manner and participate in periodic meetings regarding the individual's progress.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous knowledge and experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Over 1 year up to and including 3 years working with children/adults with autism
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation/vehicle
Job Type: Per-Diem
Pay: $18.00 per Hour
