Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Educational Development: Meet regularly with the Director of Educational Development to discuss instructional strategies and student progress.
  • Plan and Facilitate Learning Sessions: Develop and deliver engaging coding instructional sessions that cater to students of diverse skill levels and interests.
  • Assist Students in Developing Coding Skills: Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students as they develop their coding skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain Communication with the Director of Educational Development: Regularly update the Director of Educational Development on student progress and any challenges encountered.
  • Model Academic and Social Behaviors: Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and a positive attitude in all interactions with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the development of coding curriculum and resources.

 

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Possess a bachelor's degree and teaching and/or tutoring experience, with a strong background in coding and education.
  • Coding Skills: Be proficient in block coding languages such as Scratch and/or Blockly, and have experience instructing students in these languages.
  • Robotics and Coding: Have experience instructing students on how to control a robot using block coding languages.
  • Data Analysis: Be able to collect and analyze data to drive future instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
