About the Position

The Senior Project Manager - Water Infrastructure will be responsible for overseeing water projects and identifying new business opportunities related to specific clients, client groups, or geographical areas focused on water projects. This role will be based in Utah, but may involve projects throughout Utah and neighboring Intermountain states.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Define project goals, policies, procedures, and performance standards in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Construction Oversight: Oversee construction through administrative supervision of on-site Superintendents to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Staffing and Planning: Plan, organize, and staff key field positions.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve potentially serious issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Client Representation: Represent the company in project and labor strategy meetings.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial aspects of contracts, including fee payments, equipment rentals, and income/expenses, to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with clients and A/E contacts.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Additional Tasks: Complete additional tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in the construction industry, with a minimum of 2 years in Project Management. Experience in heavy civil projects is preferred.
  • Water Infrastructure Experience: 7+ years of experience in water mitigation, pump stations, or other water-related construction projects.
  • Project Management Experience: Demonstrated experience managing projects in the $10M-$50M range from start to finish.
  • Self-Performed Work Experience: Experience managing self-performed work in underground, structural, and mass excavation.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Required knowledge includes construction, design, finance, and management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel.
