Senior IT Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the transition from Informix to a modern, cloud-hosted database management system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects through the entire life cycle, including creating and maintaining project plans, documentation, and status reports.
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders from multiple levels and functions to capture product requirements and user stories.
  • Monitor project budgets, including expenditures and projections.
  • Resolve problems and coordinate services by working closely with management, users, and contract providers.
  • Provide technical assistance on system issues, hardware, software, and project-related inquiries.
  • Serve as part of the Scrum team managing the Agile Release Train (ART) DevOps teams using SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
  • Utilize software development methodologies, such as SDLC, to drive consistent project delivery and system analysis.
  • Manage DevOps teams to deliver quarterly plans with predictable measures, aligned product specifications, and ensure projects are completed within the target release date.
  • Ensure compliance with technical, security, and regulatory standards and maintain transparent communication with all cross-functional team members.
  • Perform project management duties within the SAFe framework, including managing scope, timeboxes, dependencies, and overseeing project documentation.
Requirements:
  • In-depth understanding of IT Project Management concepts, practices, and tools, particularly within software application development.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, specifically the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies and familiarity with database requirements and system specifications.
  • Effective team-building, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience, training, and certifications in IT project management and leadership roles.
  • Ability to demonstrate relevant experience in managing cross-functional DevOps teams, particularly in software development within the SAFe framework
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified Agile Scrum Master certification.
  • Experience in software systems analysis and/or business analysis.
