Job Description: Manufacturing Engineering InternThis internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment while working closely with experienced engineers. As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting AAF International's manufacturing processes and operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Support production processes by analyzing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Analyze data related to production metrics, including throughput, cycle time, and yield, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct root cause analysis of defects and develop corrective actions to improve product quality and reliability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen events to streamline processes and drive operational excellence.
- Work with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance tasks, and ensure equipment reliability to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and project updates. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools;
- Prior internship or coursework experience in manufacturing or engineering is preferred;
- Hands-on experience in a real-world manufacturing environment;
