We are seeking a seasoned Operations Strategist to lead our Supply Chain team and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of experience in supply chain management or a related field and at least five years of experience in a defense industry manufacturing environment. They will possess a strong understanding of supply chain principles, practices, and industry trends, as well as thorough knowledge of the procurement process for commercial, international, and U.S. Government contracts.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the organization's supply chain strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives. You will identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in the supply chain process, incorporating industry best practices and emerging technologies. Key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics will be set to measure the success of the supply chain operations.

A key aspect of this role is establishing and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating favorable terms and conditions per UCC and Article of Clauses to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Collaboration with the procurement team will be essential to optimize sourcing strategies, manage supplier performance, and mitigate risks.

Additional responsibilities include overseeing transportation operations, including selection of carriers, routing, and scheduling, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Monitoring transportation costs, identifying opportunities for optimization, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency will also be crucial. The successful candidate will coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimize warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment processes.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on experience.
