Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation and Controls Specialist to join our team at HiFyve in Columbia, MO.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our automation systems and controls to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and optimize automation systems for high-speed bottling lines to maximize efficiency and output.
  • Identify and resolve issues in automation systems and controls, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Lead automation projects from conception through implementation, including system upgrades and new technology integrations.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of control systems, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Provide training and support to operational staff on automation systems and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and controls, specifically in high-speed bottling operations.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and control systems, including Rockwell Automation and Mitsubishi PLCs, as well as VFDs.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, VFDs, and Rockwell Automation software such as RSView, RSLinx, and RSHistorian.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of dairy production processes and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with safety and environmental regulations in food processing.
