Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal with a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial and business litigation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience assisting in trials and will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team throughout the litigation process.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and post-trial activities.
- Manage case files, including organizing and maintaining documents, preparing case chronologies, and tracking deadlines.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and subpoenas.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information to assist attorneys in developing case strategies.
- Coordinate and assist in trial preparation, including preparing trial binders, exhibits, and witness lists.
- Attend trials to provide on-site support to attorneys, including managing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and taking detailed notes.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to facilitate case progression.
- Assist in post-trial activities, including preparing appeals and managing settlement agreements.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in commercial and business litigation.
- Proven experience assisting attorneys during trials is required.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, court procedures, and legal terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
