About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Associate to join our team at the Rescue Mission of Trenton. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain physical facilities and properties to ensure client, staff, and customer safety and adherence to all applicable building, fire, safety, and sanitary codes.
  • Operate Rescue Mission vehicles in compliance with all motor vehicle laws and safety requirements, maintaining vehicles in a safe operating condition.
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance and custodial duties, including loading and unloading trucks as directed.
  • Assist in supervision and training of residents in work therapy program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or Associates degree, required OR Equivalent life experience required if educational qualifications not met OR Minimum 1-2 years experience in maintenance and/or engineering field.
  • Critical thinking, equipment maintenance and selection, visualization, facility, repairing.
  • Ability to Troubleshoot.
  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, forklift and jack.
  • Basic knowledge of usage of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • A valid driver's license.

We offer a comprehensive benefit and training package, including a competitive hourly rate of $19 plus an additional $1.00 per hour worked paid out quarterly.
