Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at LANXESS Americas. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and uptime of our production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of production equipment
  • Troubleshoot problems and apply theoretical knowledge to install, rebuild, or repair production equipment as needed
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of a wide range of equipment, including packaging systems, pumps, motors, agitators, and general equipment and facilities issues
  • Ensure all required tools, parts, and supplies are available for each job performed
  • Complete required service records and recommend equipment modifications or replacements as necessary
  • Provide training and support to other maintenance technicians
  • Support and learn basic E&I maintenance skills and tasks as necessary
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 2-year technical degree or 5 years of industrial work experience in a relevant equipment maintenance field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Must have experience with motors, pumps, agitators, facilities maintenance, and industrial conveyors
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools
  • Welding and machinist skills highly desirable
  • Available for on-call duty
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and stand for continuous periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in a hot, humid, noisy, and high-volume machine production area
  • Ability and willingness to work safely and wear PPE as required
