Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Responsible for improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Operator Development: Support the development of operator capabilities through process cross-functional SOP creation, training, and knowledge sharing.
  • Problem Solving: Utilize process SME knowledge to own and support 1-KPS problem-solving of critical site concerns.
  • Plant Maintenance Support: Support the plant maintenance manager with special tasks and actions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Develop cooperative working relationships with cross-functional teams within the manufacturing plants.
  • Project Management: Create project plans and harness resources to ensure project milestones are met within expectations of timeline, quality, and budget.
  • Manufacturing Process Optimization: Optimize the operation of manufacturing processes by finding the optimum production and machine settings with an underlying goal of quality and cost.
  • Quality Analysis: Participate in the analysis of quality problems and applicable solutions, handle relations with the maintenance and production departments for optimization purposes, and ensure follow-up to solutions.
  • R&D Collaboration: Work with the R&D teams for new product requests coming from customers.
  • Production Trials: Organize and track upscale production trials and define the parameters of production for new products in collaboration with the R&D team and the site team (safety, quality, production, supply chain, and maintenance).
  • Material and Equipment Selection: Determine material and equipment to be used for specific projects.
  • Product Design and Performance Standards: Study product design, customer requirements, and determine performance standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot product manufacturing issues that are experienced on the production line and offer short- and long-term solutions with maintenance and production teams.
  • Manufacturing Issue Support: Supports manufacturing issues and troubleshooting as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.S) in Engineering.
  • Lean Six Sigma: Lean Six Sigma qualification preferred.
  • Experience: 5 plus years of progressive experience work in plant maintenance, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering.
  • Food Manufacturing Experience: 1 – 2 years prior food manufacturing or alternative heavily regulated environment (e.g. Pharma manufacturing, automotive, etc.).
  • Preferred Experience: Preferred experience with food manufacturing unit operations: Solid-Liq Extraction, Evaporation, Centrifuge Separation, Pasteurization.
  • Capital Project Management: Experience in managing and executing capital projects $50k - $500k.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, and experience in SAP and AutoCAD (preferred).
Compensation

The typical hiring range for this role is $73,758 to $108,755 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
