Job Description:

Focused HR Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior WebSphere Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, and configuration of WebSphere software in a multi-platform environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Support: Provide support for various departments' applications running on WebSphere and IBM WebSphere MQ.
  • Infrastructure Management: Responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, and configuration of hardware and software.
  • Application Deployments: Responsible for application deployments.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update infrastructure documentation.
  • Security: Complete implementation of security policies and filters associated with the tools.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide additional troubleshooting support.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with installation, maintenance, administration and monitoring of the WebSphere Software in a multi-platform environment (Linux and Windows) (5+ years).
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to provide proactive resolution of problems and/or alerts received by various monitoring and management systems.
  • Communication: Ability to provide resolution of connectivity problems, assisting users, and debugging problems.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on technical experience in support of software tools such as WebSphere Application Server.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with a broad range of technical skills in support of all WebSphere customers.
  • Scripting: Training and/or experience with scripting tools such as Bash, Korn, and Jython.
  • Change Management: Knowledge of change management best practices in a complex hosting environment.
