Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced phlebotomist to join our team as an Adjunct Instructor in the Health Professions Division at the College of Eastern Idaho (CEI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction to post-secondary students in phlebotomy, including basic blood drawing techniques, CLIA waived tests related to blood, safety protocols and standards, and other related functions.
  • Develop related instructional materials, such as syllabi, lectures, course materials, evaluation tools, and classroom activities.
  • Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver instructional materials, communicate with students, and post grades.
  • Coordinate with managers from two separate programs to deliver consistent phlebotomy instruction to different student populations.
  • Complete mandatory campus trainings and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Certified phlebotomist with three years of industry-related work and/or teaching experience in phlebotomy.
  • Incumbent must reside in Idaho (CEI does not sponsor H-1B Visas).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CMA or a Credentialed Medical Assistant.
  • Bilingual (Spanish).

Work Environment:

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not necessarily occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.

Onsite work is essential, and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.

Background Investigations:

Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position.
