Job Overview

Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Ridgefield, NJ

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $28-32 per hour + $1 shift differential

Shift: 3rd Shift M-F 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the upkeep and repair of all facilities and equipment, including diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and executing predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Construct and wire control panels for machinery based on technical blueprints and schematics.
  • Diagnose problems by observing mechanical systems in operation, listening for irregularities, and utilizing precision measuring and testing tools.
  • Maintain the functionality of machinery and mechanical systems by conducting preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor mechanisms, and production equipment. Follow technical diagrams, operational manuals, and engineering specifications to resolve malfunctions.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections as necessary, including monitoring fire safety systems.
Qualifications
  • Two to five years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
