Job Summary:

As a Diesel Technician at Freightliner Northwest, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run diagnostic tests and analyze results to identify issues with diesel engines and other equipment.
  • Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
  • Develop technical skills through training opportunities and work with a team to ensure the cleanliness of the shop.
  • Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.

Requirements:

Heavy equipment dealership experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude, a team player mentality, and a commitment to safety.

Benefits:

Competitive hourly compensation, ranging from $20.00 to $50.00, based on level of skill and experience. Night shift, weekend shift, and lead/mentor differential pay available.

Eligible employees can enroll in our company Health Savings Account (HSA) and 401k plan, with a company match of up to 3% of income. Tuition reimbursement and profit sharing are also available.

Our technicians are also eligible for company-sponsored training, company-provided uniforms, and a work boot stipend.
