GEOINT Information Management Services (GIMS) Experience/Education/Certification REQUIRED
As a GEOINT Source Strategies Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating a diverse range of information and intelligence pertinent to the threats confronting critical national systems, assets, and resources. Your role will involve formulating insightful research studies and recommendations based on your analyses. You may lead or engage in sanctioned studies as necessary, providing further analysis in response to specific threats and incident reports. Additionally, you will oversee program and project execution, making substantial contributions to departmental objectives and strategic planning efforts.
Minimum Education/Work Experience:
- Proven experience as a geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) collection manager or source strategies analyst (SSA), with a focus on managing geospatial information requirements within GEOINT Information Management Services (GIMS).
- Comprehensive understanding of GEOINT tasking and collection methodologies and protocols.
- Familiarity with national, commercial, and airborne GEOINT sensors and their capabilities.
- Insight into multi-INT sources and their functionalities.
- Capability to work autonomously or collaboratively to devise effective GEOINT collection strategies.
- Skill in collaborating with GEOINT analysts to dissect challenges and formulate efficient collection methodologies.
- Aptitude for liaising with partners across the intelligence community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) to foster innovation and enhance intelligence integration.
- High School diploma or GED.
- GIMS Certification.
- Experience serving as an adjudicator within GIMS.
- Background as an imagery or geospatial analyst.
- Familiarity with GIMS Advanced Search and Netcentric GEOINT Discovery Services (NGDS).
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary intelligence (MDI) or event portal strategy (EPS) development.
- Ability to facilitate collaboration across agencies.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree is a plus.
