Key Responsibilities
  • Transport residents to and from scheduled appointments and activity outings in a safe and timely manner.
  • Assist the Maintenance Director in ensuring the physical plant, equipment, and grounds are well-maintained and in good working order.
  • Perform preventative service and maintenance checks on vehicles and schedule service maintenance as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and supervisors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to maintain established standards of practice and community policies.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to communicate in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, and community staff in the performance of duties.
  • Ability to observe proper safety and sanitary techniques.
  • Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in environmental services, maintenance, or relative trade, preferably in the healthcare or hospitality industry.
  • Previous experience in long-term care preferred, but not required.
