Job Description

Job Summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the Space Development Agency (SDA) Advanced Fire Control Ground Infrastructure (AFCGI) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, deploying, operating, and maintaining a common, enduring, ground infrastructure to support multiple SDA space vehicle demonstration and experimentation programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of program requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
  • Provide specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant experience OR Master's and 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience developing and/or sustaining national security, no-fail mission systems.
  • Experience leading waterfall-to-agile transformations, designed to deliver Minimum Viable Products in a consistent cadence.
  • Experience with a broad range of system types: custom developed HW/SW, COTS/GOTS HW/SW, and specialty engineering.
  • A high degree of proficiency using DOORs.
  • Experience with implementing and sustaining distributed systems and virtual operating system environments.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in systems engineering, Model-based Systems Engineering, and related areas, to include managing teams/projects delivering solutions for national security ground and/or space mission systems.
  • Experience designing, delivering, and operating national security ground antennas, cloud infrastructure, mission networks, and/or mission operations centers.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $160,001 - $200,000. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
