Job Title: Senior Landscape Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join our team in Charleston, WV. As a key member of our landscape architecture division, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and teams from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage landscape architecture projects, collaborating with clients to understand their vision and translating it into innovative and sustainable landscape designs.
  • Oversee project teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior designers, landscape architects, and support staff.
  • Conduct site analysis and assessments, considering environmental factors, regulations, and client preferences.
  • Develop comprehensive design plans, including site layouts, hardscape, grading and drainage, planting, and erosion control plans.
  • Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to facilitate seamless project execution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture is required.
  • Proven experience (12+ years) in landscape architecture design and project management.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
  • Thorough understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards project success.
  • Professional licensure as a Landscape Architect in WV is required or willing to obtain WV license reciprocity within three (3) months of employment.
