Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining a variety of press equipment. This includes performing make-ready tasks, such as mounting plates or installing print cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, and checking for correct positioning of images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a variety of press equipment
  • Perform make-ready tasks, including mounting plates or installing print cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, and checking for correct positioning of images
  • Make necessary color corrections and adjustments prior to the production run to meet and maintain quality specifications
  • Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts
  • Perform periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer
Requirements
  • 5+ years of thorough knowledge of Flexographic printing procedures, materials, and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments
  • Ability to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings, and materials needed to run the job successfully
  • Ability to make a variety of difficult precise web paths, and adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipment
  • Skilled in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills, Excel, Word, and Google preferred
  • Ability to use Mark Andy, Aquaflex, Comco, or Webtron preferred
