Our mission is to conduct groundbreaking research aimed at elucidating the complexities of diseases such as diabetes, cancer, neurological disorders, and HIV, with the ultimate goal of improving treatment and prevention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will engage in a collaborative research environment focusing on:
- Identifying immune biomarkers associated with disease progression in individuals with type 1 diabetes.
- Investigating the essential molecular and cellular mechanisms that contribute to the onset and advancement of type 1 diabetes.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. and have a minimum of two years of relevant postdoctoral experience. A robust theoretical and practical understanding of cellular and molecular immunology, particularly in relation to type 1 diabetes, is essential.
Experience with techniques such as Flow Cytometry, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq), molecular biology, CRISPR, and sterile tissue culture methods will be advantageous. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and R is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $66,600 - $73,000. San Diego BioMed offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, long-term disability coverage, paid time off, and a generous employer contribution to retirement plans.
