Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Veterans Prime, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power solutions and experience with high voltage systems, power transformers, and electrical relays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems
  • Perform start-up and collect data on electrical systems, including power transformers and relays
  • Test and calibrate electrical relays and power meters
  • Conduct cable testing, including Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, and DC Hipot
  • Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and low, medium, and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers
  • Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power or similar experience and training from the military
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Prefer NETA Certification (II or III) or equivalent skills/experience to become NETA Certified
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with RTS or Protest relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, automatic transfer switching, and performing start-up on switchgear up through 500kV class
  • Experience with VFD (variable frequency drives)
