The Community Engagement Coordinator will report directly to the Property Manager, assisting in the operational and financial success of assigned residential properties and communities. Key responsibilities encompass rent collection, management of resident accounts, property inspections, and delivering exceptional service to both current and prospective residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitates leasing processes, resident retention strategies, and customer service initiatives. Maintains electronic resident records and may guide the office team. Provides leadership in the absence of the Property Manager.
  • Manages rent collection and accurately posts transactions in the property management system. Prepares Statements of Deposit Activity for vacated units and processes all related financial transactions.
  • Communicates with residents regarding overdue payments and follows company protocols for late notices and potential evictions.
  • Distributes renewal notifications to residents, effectively communicating the value of staying in the community to encourage lease renewals.
  • Conducts leasing activities, including generating interest, responding to inquiries, and providing property tours to prospective residents, culminating in the acquisition of rental applications and deposits.
  • Addresses resident concerns and complaints, and may organize community events to foster resident engagement.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations, reporting any incidents as required.
  • Inspects vacated units to identify necessary repairs and improvements.
  • Monitors property aesthetics and safety, reporting any potential hazards.
  • Operates a vehicle as needed for property inspections and resident interactions.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to support business needs.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of property management practices and procedures.
  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills to effectively address resident issues.
  • Excellent organizational abilities for maintaining records and schedules.
  • Familiarity with housing regulations at various governmental levels.
  • Sales acumen to effectively market services to residents.
  • Capability to visually assess property conditions and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Aptitude for learning and utilizing property management software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Physical and Environmental Considerations
